Day 1 - Florence
Hotel Ester – Dinner
After you’re dropped of at your hotel is in the heart of Florence, if you arrive before 6pm stroll along the river Arno, wander through the narrow streets, stop for a cappuccino or sample sample some delicious gelato.
Your welcome meal is at 6pm where it’s time to meet your fellow voyageurs for the weekend and what better way to acquaint than over a delicious meal in a local restaurant.

Day 2 - Florence
Hotel Ester – Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast we will travel to Castello del Trebbio for a visit to the castle and cellars. Learn about the castle’s past.
At the height of Florence Renaissance in 1478, the Pazzi family masterminded the now infamous plot to kill two of Florence’s ruling family, the Medici. After the failed conspiracy, the castle was confiscated by the Republic of Florence.
After our history lesson we participate in a cooking class and get to eat the fruits of our work washed down with some great conversations and award winning wines.
We return to Florence a little fuller and wiser and the rest of the day is yours to explore with your fellow Voyageurs. There’s the Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio and the Arno river, the many statues and monuments of the Piazza della Signoria.
The Palazzo Vecchio, the 13th-century Duomo, the Baptistry and bell tower, and the Santa Croce Church. Or perhaps visit the Uffizi, one of the world’s oldest art gallery.
Take an evening passeggiata, a leisurely socialising stroll, between the different piazzas and cafes or stop for a glass of Chianti.
Day 3 - Florence
Hotel Ester – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Start your day with a bike ride through the Chianti countryside. Cycling uphill (e-bikes are available!) through local villages and frequent photo stops to enjoy the spectacular views.
On the way down we’ll visit an ancient wine cellar for some local wine and olive oil tastings accompanied by some delicious Tuscan snacks. On to Piazzale Michelangelo.
No visit to Florence is complete without a stop here to see some of the best views of the city with a final gelato stop before returning the bikes.
Head back to the hotel to freshen up and then we savour a delicious lunch at the local market before catching public transport Italian style to our very own Cappuccino coffee course. Taste the different coffee beans, prepare a perfectly foamed cappuccino and practice how to make hearts, swirls and leaves on the froth.
Tonight we return for our group farewell dinner to reminisce on our very own Italian adventure.
Day 4 - Departure Day
Ciao! Today your Florence weekend comes to an end.
You’ve done so much! You’ve visited castles and cellars, sampled the best Italian food has to offer, had a few, or more Chianti’s, cycled through the breathtaking countryside and designed your very own cappuccino.
