Day 2 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
After breakfast we visit Zimbabwe’s spectacular displays and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the ionic Victoria Falls. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“the smoke that thunders”), it stands over 100 metres tall and 1700 metres wide with sprays that can reach as high as 500 metres – prepare to get just a little bit wet!

After we take a visit to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust where we will learn about the amazing work this organisation does for its conservation in the area.

This afternoon there is an optional helicopter ride over the falls, before we board our sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Sit back, relax and soak up the last rays of the African sun as you gently drift along the Zambezi River where there’s a great chance you’ll spot or hear elephant, hippo, crocodile, magnificent birds and other wildlife.

We end the day and Vic Falls River Brew to enjoy some sundowners and reflect on the day. (Dinner and drinks at own cost).

Day 3 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
It’s an early start today but such an amazing day as we head out for our Zambezi Canoeing Safari.

The river above the Victoria Falls changes its nature continuously, from wide open expanses of water to narrow tree lined channels meandering between the myriad of rock and sand islands.

This makes it an awesome Zambezi canoeing safari experience. Game is abundant and we may get to see Hippos, Crocodile, Elephants, Waterbuck, the elusive Cape Clawless Otter and hundreds of bird species.

The rest of the evening is yours to spend at leisure with your fellow girlfriends.

This afternoon we set out on our first game drive of the trip. As well as the Big Five, Hwange is home to zebra, giraffes, hippos, cheetahs, wildebeest and over 400 species of birds, so keep your eyes peeled.

Day 6 - Chobe-Botswana
This morning we make tracks after breakfast and travel towards Kasane, a town on the edge of Chobe National Park (approximately 7hrs).

It’s a long day but we’ll have plenty of stops along the way, and good for us, the stretch of road we travel on is known as the ‘Elephant Highway’, and with no fences elephants are free to move between Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe and Botswana, so we may be lucky enough to have a few stops for elephants crossing!

Botswana’s first national park, Chobe, is best known for its high concentration of elephants and we’ll spend the next two nights in the perfect place to watch these beautiful beasts.

Once we arrive at the lodge, relax, take a dip in the pool, watch the abundance of animals whilst sipping on a cocktail before having dinner with your Voyage girlfriends.

Cool down in the pool and relax before we head out for our breathtaking sunset cruise on the Chobe River.

Look out for bird life such as saddle-billed storks, malachite kingfishers, fish eagles and beautiful bee-eaters, as well as hippos, crocodiles and large families of elephants, with a sundowner drink in hand, the perfect way to spend the end of the day.

Day 8 - Gweta - Botswana
Today we have a 6 hour drive towards North-East Botswana to Ntwetwe Pans; a large salt pan situation in the middle of the dry savanna.

After settling in our quirky thatched huts and freshening up, we head out to the Ntwetwe Pans with our guide for an afternoon adventure.

Remarkably, there is life to be found here and on board our open topped jeeps we’ll see some of the uniquely adapted desert species such as bat-eared foxes, springbok, kori bustards, and maybe even the magnificent desert-adapted elephant and lion if we’re really lucky.

We then find the perfect spot to have sundowner or two whilst we taking in the vastness of this amazing scenery.

Back at the lodge, enjoy a delicious dinner with your Voyage girlfriends.

An early rise as we head out to get close and personal with the coolest residents of the desert, the Kalahari meerkats. Although not tame, they are used to our non threatening presents which means we can get a lot closer to them than you might think.

After breakfast, we make our way to Maun which is about a 4 hour drive and then the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure in this wonderful location with the most spectacular sunsets you can watch from your own private patios.

Drifting down the delta on our mokoro we are right in the middle of bird sanctuary where we can witness an amazing variety of birds feeding, mating and in the right season, making their nests.
